Our 3-Day Desert Expedition Highlights & Itinerary:

Day 1: Marrakesh to Ghazala Camp via Foum Zguid

Departure: 8:00 AM Check-in: Ghazala Camp (5:00 PM) Transport: 4WD Toyota TX Driving Time: 8 hours Road Distance: 350 km (217 miles) Off-road Track: 80 km (50 miles)

Your desert adventure commences at 8:00 AM from your Marrakesh hotel. Traveling in a 4WD Toyota TX, you'll traverse the majestic Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, offering awe-inspiring vistas. Passing through Taznaght, your journey leads to Foum Zguid, where the paved road ends, and the desert experience begins. After lunch in Foum Zguid, venture further into the desert, crossing the dry Iriqui lake to reach the Sahara dunes. Upon arrival at Ghazala Camp, enjoy a camel trek to a high dune to witness the enchanting sunset. Spend the evening in a tented camp under a canopy of stars.

Day 2: Ghazala Camp to Agdz via M’hamid, Zagora, and Draa Valley

Departure: 9:00 AM Check-in: Agdz (4:00 PM) Driving Time: 4 hours Road Distance: 180 km (111 miles) Off-road Track: 60 km (38 miles)

Start your day early with a sunrise view over the Sahara dunes before breakfast. Journey towards M’hamid el Ghizlane, exploring the unique village blending Arab, Amazigh (Berber), Jewish, and Sahrawi influences. Enjoy a homestead lunch in a traditional house. Continue to Tamegroute, known for its Koranic library and green desert pottery. Discover Zagora and the Draa Valley with its ancient Kasbahs. Overnight in Agdz at Dar Qamar or similar.

Day 3: Agdz to Marrakesh via Ouarzazate, Aït Ben Haddou, and the Atlas Mountains

Departure: 9:00 AM Check-in: Marrakesh (5:00 PM) Driving Time: 4 hours Road Distance: 270 km (168 miles)

Cross the Anti-Atlas with its geological wonders and descend into Ouarzazate, the Moroccan cinema capital. Optional visit to movie studios. Lunch at Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and film backdrop. Traverse the Atlas Mountains through Telouet, known for its striking color contrasts. Descend to Marrakesh, concluding your journey.

3-Day Desert Expedition - Inclusions:
